davidmead thx for sending me down the rabbit hole of the article tag and the etymology of the word article. Learned a ton...and now I don't feel bad sticking article everywhere for any piece of content

↩️ @littleiffel So I went with a few static pages for my main site (it actually is a working blog with an h-feed) and then added @withKnown for stream. Over time I hope to move functionality of @withKnown to my main site ( or make Known an engine you don't… https://quickthoughts.jgregorymcverry.com/2019/02/20/littleiffel-so-i-went-with-a-few

Nice jgmac1196. I have a gist for Known to use similar markup for all if it's posts. I added it as an issue on github

yea my comment from yesterday is wrong...just still stuck with a mental block a note isn't an article...even though a note and even a blog comment can be an article
#
[davidmead]
Not wrong. It makes sense. When you’ve been pushing web standards as long as I have you get used to other points of view, and I’m not always “right” 🙂

My general rule.. I am happiest when I use fewest tags possible
#
[jgmac1106]
... Bump into some mf2 and css grid issues trying this (splitting divs across grid cells.. Etc)... But see little value in replacing div soup with semantic soup... Noodles still have the same ingredients
#
[jgmac1106]
And KartikPrahbu has a micropubclient that publishes snarky response meme if you use too many div..
#
[jgmac1106]
Was able to redo my syllabus stripping divs and using a block display for ul with no text decoration... Do that when I can't fit a post type in one div or p easily

[davidmead]
I like noodles 🙂

I like all the different kinds of noodles, with their many different ingredients. :)

Switching up my learning tasks, will still get back to php 101 since I use @withknown but going to play in node first since there are few php learning resources and most learning sites out there said they will no longer support php courses. (https://quickthoughts.jgregorymcverry.com/s/AXUdy)

↩️ Question for you Greg. If I have the Twitter, LinkedIn and Mastodon plugins installed in my @withknown do I need or should I have Bridgy enabled? Also, my toggle buttons for sharing to those look ugly. Did I do something wrong or is there something that I can do for that?

LinkedIn working for you still? Will need to update the plugin 3/1. Anyone using v1 of their API
#
[jgmac1106]
New API sucks... Have to remember to reapply for new Key every 30 days
#
[jgmac1106]
I think Bridgy beats Twitter plugin but need to test webmentions... Posted note be great thing for documentation to add to the Known wiki pages

oh, I have not run out on an API expire yet. That will suck and I will have to put that in my calendar.
#
[ken]
I will setup the tests on that.
#
[jgmac1106]
Yeah will require a rewrite of the LinkedIn plugin for new API... I would prefer a POSSEd version rather than the syndicated "Ken published a new post" link... Need to play with it again
#
[jgmac1106]
POSSE to LinkedIn something my students want
