@Johannes_Ernst
↩️ @digitalknk @withknown Would be interesting to know what you think is the most "tough" about #IndieWeb.

j12t - they said it in their tweet: "working with WordPress" - and that's a known struggle (so to speak)

I was hoping for one level more detail :-)

[KevinMarks]: for what it's worth I re-installed Known (based on the git repository this time), and everything seems to be fine

I'm was looking for a "read" plugin for known (to keep track of the books I have read)
#
AkyRhO
I'm almost certain I've seen this kinf of plugin somewhere but I can't find it now

I have one

[jgmac1106]
https://github.com/jgmac1106/Known-Read there is a slight issue with the edit template I think that throws an error but does not break
#
[jgmac1106]
the micropub endpoint either does not work or is missing

It was not listed on the Known Plugins page was it?
#
[jgmac1106]
no, we talked about how we will start to revisit and update that page after the 1.0 release, welcome PRs especially around the micropub endpoint
#
AkyRhO
Only thing I find missing is the ability to edit the publishing date - I usually keep track of the books I read in my journal and update my website once in a while
#
AkyRhO
And right now I'd like to migrate my existing data without setting the date to today
#
[jgmac1106]
there is a long issue about changing publishing date
#
[jgmac1106]
one thing you can do is publish using a micropub client that lets you set the date...but see previous post about the micropub endpoint
#
[jgmac1106]
https://indiebookclub.biz does not have a date field
#
[jgmac1106]
Could easily add a date finished field. The post wouod parse with a date published field but yiu would display and have the date finished data
#
[jgmac1106]
And nobody is really has a consuming application for read posts so just have a date finished field would not break anything

Before making up a new property, please check the spec for an existing property that solves the problem.
#
[tantek]
In this case, “dt-updated” solves the “I’ve updated my post / this page” usecase. http://microformats.org/wiki/h-entry#Properties

jgmac1106[m]
Wasn't saying a new property just a completed date in plain text
#
jgmac1106[m]
So even if dt-published is one date you could have a sentence that says, "Finished book on Jan 13, 1987 and that date different than publishing post date
#
jgmac1106[m]
Nobody has any tool that use the data, thus plain text suggestion but if you felt compelled to add something wouldn't dt-end make more sense?
