Quick question. I took the latest master branch for Known and noticed that it has a .htaccess file. I don't need that, do I?

is it a new install then yes, if it is an update, then no. You do not want to write over yours

jgmac1106 I've replied to the GitHub issue regarding the `title` tag in the RSS feed. See https://github.com/idno/known/issues/2544 ; The RSS feed links on my tag pages are getting prefix with the selected tag. It doesn't work yet for jsonfeed responses however.

[jgmac1106] #2544 tag rss feeds should have the tag as a title rather than site title

cambridgeport90 Why are you asking about the htaccess file? It does give important pointers to Apache, if that's your webserver.

Because I need to know whether I need to translate them for Internet information services or not.

Interesting that you're on a Windows server machine. What Known version do you currently have? The latest .htaccess changes (https://github.com/idno/known/commits/master/.htaccess), only seem to contain "security" related changes.cf. hiding .git folder.

Another thing related to htaccess changes: is everyone rolling their own "Content-Security-Policy" configuration?

Oh. Makes sense.

Iā€™m the only one who manages the site, so no.

For reference: html5 boilerplate's htaccess file is chuck-full of great Apache server optimizations: https://github.com/h5bp/html5-boilerplate/blob/master/dist/.htaccess

I took the latest 0.99 release branch; and then the master. This won't be an issue once I move to my own server; for then I can install whichever modules I want. URL Rewrite is the functionality in IIS. But untill then sounds like it can run without.
