'morning all, i'm trying to interact with the fediverse through my known blog, i seem to understand I need to add <a href="https://fed.brid.gy/"></a> inside my notes (h-entry), but i'm not really sure how to do it properly
#
AkyRhO
could anyone please advise on this ?

[jgmac1106]
did you set up the header already?
#
[jgmac1106]
oops <head>
#
[jgmac1106]
I can't get it to work on my shared host but best of my memory you do not put it in the h-entry
#
[jgmac1106]
looks like I deleted mine
#
[jgmac1106]
```<link rel="alternate" type="application/atom+xml"
#
[jgmac1106]
plus the changes to your htaccess file?
#
[jgmac1106]
if you do those two things as long as
#
[jgmac1106]
is inside the h-entry it should work
#
[jgmac1106]
```<a href="https://fed.brid.gy/"></a>```

[jgmac1106]: yeah i did the first two things
#
AkyRhO
my question was more like what's the cleanest way to add the <a> tag
#
AkyRhO
do i need to edit the template files or is there another way to do it?
#
[jgmac1106]
do you want it in every post or per post basis, get good control on manual
#
[jgmac1106]
but you edit the template file, unless you want to add a form to make it optional....but you would know way more about that
#
[jgmac1106]
If you just drop
#
[jgmac1106]
into the templates....what I don't know is where to that globally for every different post type that is a plugin
#
[jgmac1106]
```<a href="https://fed.brid.gy/"></a>```
#
[jgmac1106]
or if you need to do that on each post type
#
AkyRhO
hum
#
AkyRhO
well i tried to add the link on this post
[Cédric Bousmanne] Fediverse test on @cedric.io@cedric.io
#
AkyRhO
but i don't see anything here https://fed.brid.gy/responses
#
AkyRhO
the first 2 lines are requests from mastodon to my blog (first one is me following myself - from my ruby.social account to my domain)
#
AkyRhO
and the second is when i posted something on ruby.social mentionning my domain username
#
[jgmac1106]
like I said I could never get it to work, I always get timeout issues bc my shared host uses a security tool that doesn't allow some of the services used by Granary
#
[jgmac1106]
so I do this, way easier
#
[jgmac1106]
I have a paid micro.blog account, I go from Known RSS->micro.blog->my fediverse instance
