ulhar4409 Is there some option/plugin to have Known to use php's mail() function and/or the `sendmail` command to send emails? My webhost offers mail-sending but doesn't officially support any option other than those to use it (i.e. no SMTP config is given)

[KevinMarks] You're not going to have much luck using PHP mail() or sendmail these days as most email relays want a lot of verification setup, so if you're bulk-mailing, you should use a service with an api, and if you're doing one off 'send an email of this page' construct a mailto: URL for it

ulhar4409 To be clear, the webhost itself dispatches the emails, not some third-party relay

ulhar4409 Otherwise I imagine they wouldn't bother mentioning mail()/sendmail in their FAQ, except to tell you not to use it :P
