11 hours 45 minutes until server maintenance starts which will result in a few minutes of downtime of indieweb.org, indieauth.com and a few other sites

Ah, from an SO answer "It is possible to make MediaWiki use dashes instead of underscores to indicate whitespace. wikiHow does it. But it requires a number of edits to the source code, which is usually not advised. Also, there is no guarantee to be without bugs."
#
gRegorLove
So yeah, MW strongly in favor of underscores.
#
Zegnat
Oh, yeah, I mean I prefer to have spaces in names rather than hyphens unless the hyphen is syntactical necessary. But would also prefer those spaces to then be hyphens in URLs.
#
Zegnat
FWIW, Google is (was?) on record as preferring hyphens for spaces
#
gRegorLove
Won't make any changes for now, just thought it odd /personal_domain redirected to /personal-domain
#
gRegorLove
Aye. I think we have that preference on /url_design too
#
gRegorLove
Hm, guess not
#
gRegorLove
Hyphens are definitely more obvious with links in emails, no confusion with link underlining
