jeremycherfas Very torn. I enjoyed Nurnberg and I also like Berlin but I don't think I could manage both.

[jgmac1106] I have never been to Germany so would be hard, if I can scrounge the travel fundsm to choose which conference to hit. I couldn't do mozfest as well, but that is too close to Halloween for my kids anyways

Zegnat I did Berlin last year, and am focussing on doing Nürnberg this year.

jeremycherfas Nurnberg is very cute, and there will be special typical cookies for Christmas. The trials courtroom is really interesting, and this year I want to see the rally grounds as well. But there is a LOT more to Berlin.

Zegnat That’ll depend a lot on what you are interested in for sure. I think I did a lot more just random wandering in Berlin though. Not to mention checking out (war) monuments.

jeremycherfas I think I will probably stick with Nurnberg because I would want to be in Berlin for at least a week and cannot do that. Also, lebkuchen.

Zegnat Haha, when I visited jkphl and Tollwerk in Nürnberg I got there right on time for the big Christmas market. That was fun. But I doubt the market will be there at IWC time

Zegnat [jgmac1106], still, if you are thinking about first trip to Germany (and probably last for a while), I’d say check out Berlin instead. Though selfishly I would love to meet up at Nürnberg ;)

Zegnat Hmm. Maybe reach out to jkphl and see if there are any educational speakers in Nürnberg around IWC time? I think IWC overlaps with the Nürnberg Web Week again. If you can land a speaking oppurtunity somehow maybe the uni will cover some expenses?

[jgmac1106] but I might be able to apply my current travel funds from a grant to go to Berlin we will see. Have to wait until after July (fiscal year) to find out. Berlin would be cool
