#

also is the offline video only available on archive.org and not YouTube? If so we should note on wiki..and does anyone have a link
#
[aaronpk]
All videos are linked from the schedule page

Did anyone check up on sknebel’s question re: removal of video from Archive.org? If someone who is in the film requests removal, will IA let us remove videos? Seeing how their entire business is to keep things, well, archived...
#
dzho
one suspects they might remove it only from public view
#
[aaronpk]
Yes the owner of the video can delete it
#
dzho
or, at least, I've gotten the impression that the set of things they archive is a superset of the things they also make available to the public
#
[aaronpk]
This is different, this is stuff explicitly uploaded to them, not their crawl
#
dzho
or, to the public via the Internet on demand
#
dzho
it's not clear to me how exactly that matters
#
dzho
if, for isntance, it's video of some event but included inadvertent capture of private individuals it could be valuable to keep even though other considerations argue against serving it
#
dzho
but that's just off the top of my head, I don't know their policy

should we add a note to here: https://indieweb.org/discuss that chat is considered off the record and mebers have the expectation they will not be quoted or summarized without explicit permission?

sounds reasonable

Did we have a page about the archiving of etherpads?

Should add that if you archive a block, to make sure to also put an empty template up top for possible next use of the hashtag at a future event
#
jgmac1106
not sure if it on the “during” page for organizers
#
Zegnat
I definitely forgot to do so for DUS…
#
