Just generated this week's newsletter! You still have a few minutes to make changes, and I'll re-generate it 10 minutes before it gets sent out at 3pm Pacific time. https://indieweb.org/this-week/2019-11-29.html

In the wiki, I notice some folks use their domain name as their user-insertion template (e.g. {{beesbuzz.biz}}) and some use a common username instead (e.g. {{aaronpk}}). Is there an established standard about what we “should” use? Or any objection to someone doing both? I’m thinking of redirecting Template:beesbuzz.biz to Template:fluffy
#
[fluffy]
… oh huh, I don’t remember having made Template:fluffy already
#
aaronpk
either/both is fine
#
[fluffy]
Because I didn’t, [tantek] did :)
#
[fluffy]
Oh, and he did the opposite, {{fluffy}} just includes {{beesbuzz.biz}}. That works too!
#
[Michael_Beckwit
i think mine ended up being my domain
#
aaronpk
the Template: stuff is entirely user defined
#
aaronpk
it's just your actual wiki user account that depends on your indieauth URL

right. I’ve been habitually using {{beesbuzz.biz}} when inserting self-references but I jut noticed there were a few different approaches people were doing. And it feels weird for me to be referred to *as* my domain, which I’d actually registered as a joke at one point and never expected to become my permanent Internet presence. 🙂
