I think there’s some commonality with IndieWeb’s https://indieweb.org/own_your_data principle.
I’ve observed that issues and their comments are currently owned by issue trackers of projects, and wondered if it’s better they are owned by their authors instead. (twitter.com/_/status/1215152809714294784)
