should we keep or delete random drive-by chats from web users?
#
[tantek]
e.g. people that only say "hi" or "hello"
#
[tantek]
and nothing else, or gibberish like 'aaaaa'
#
[tantek]
my opinion is that it's noise and doesn't benefit anyone (or the archives), so I'm proposing deleting from the logs
#
Loqi
[tantek] #28 rm itsme1 noise

[tantek]
aaronpk, have you seen or played with the "discobot" in Discourse? It does a surprisingly good job at welcoming people

[tantek]: some discobots have been tweaked more than others, I'm definitely impressed with the platform as a whole

hm, that review request didn't show in notifications

For the record, !calc weekdays is broken
#
[tantek]
!calc weekdays since 2020-04-16
#
Loqi
76 weekdays
#
[tantek]
Nope. Expected result: 5
#
[tantek]
whereas:
#
[tantek]
!calc days since 2020-04-16
#
Loqi
7 days
#
[tantek]
which is correct
#
[tantek]
Wolfram Alpha has a different date parser for the "weekdays since" command than the "days since" command and fails to parse ISO8601 dates according to standard. Of course they also have two code paths there instead of one which is a worse bug.
#
[tantek]
Looks like https://twitter.com/Wolfram_Alpha is the place to report bugs with perhaps a cc: to @wacnt for their records
