Embracing the IndieWeb is a call to move away from "free" major corporate web platforms and social media bubbles (and their values), where you own neither your content nor your data and could potentially lose it all. Create your own website or blog and take back control.

I still use Mastodon, but only to read posts from folks talking ActivityPub/Fediverse/IndieWeb/Beaker Browser and other personal/decentralized web-tech. Mastodon is better than Twitter in some ways (I like federated better than centralized), but it's not quite the ultimate thing.

Just a reminder that we don't have to use the corporate web - options such as the #Fediverse and #Indieweb are available. Find me there at https://ift.tt/3pFmAyS and https://pauho.net
