@mattbirchler
This resonates with me. I have a blog where I own my own content, and it's great! However, everything I read about this IndieWeb thing is complicated and more work for an unclear gain IMO.

↩️ Information in the head isn't visible. Indieweb stuff is only really made for one blog for all content to be posted once and syndicated everywhere, so wont fit every use case. It might be your set up is a round hole and your trying to fit a square peg into it.

re: IndieWeb being confusing
#
[tantek]
There's an ironic tension between "Please just tell me a simple thing for what the IndieWeb is so I can do it" and the "Don't try to tell me what the IndieWeb is, it's whatever I want it to be"
#
[tantek]
And they're both *developers*
#
[tantek]
both ends of a spectrum of developers
#
[tantek]
Ok I read the thread, there's more involved, with confusion about what you have to do or not to make WordPress *and* Micro.blog work "with IndieWeb". Start here, worth reviewing: https://twitter.com/apple_observer/status/1366724825927061508

^ the first thing about that that I'd like to "fix" is to eliminate the "so many hours trying" part. Literally we should somehow make it both possible & welcoming to have folks show up here in chat within minutes of trying something and not quite getting what they want (or being confused)
