[tantek] aaronpk, wdyt of moving the search box to the top right(ish) of the chat archives UI. I realized I keep looking / moving my mouse to the top, sometimes towards the right out of habit of so many common web UIs that put the search box at the top / right.

[tantek] Alternatively, Slack puts the search box just above the primary "content" area, centered horizontally inside it with a bit of padding and a (?) icon to the right of the search input

[tantek] [KevinMarks] ironically I think it was because it took up too much space (vertically) that made people misrecognize it as a banner. If it had been shorter, that might have solved it
