In some cryptic way that I can never remember how to do without also a side effect of floating, and it can’t do what I actually want which is to % size cap it, ie max-width as a % of main body content

Also harder to remember mediawiki alt attribute syntax for images

The folks who made up a whole suite of new formats and protocols while dissing on RSS/Atom and ActivityPub have guts to talk about failing to reuse prior art or engage with existing communities: https://indieweb.org/monoculture

あまり良くわかっていないのだが、 勢いでhttp://coil.com、http://uphold.comのアカウントを作ってみた。indiewebの先に、distributed monetizeという流れがあるみたい。

↩️ The indieweb community broadly does a huge amount to work with all kinds of feeds. That doesn't mean that we can't recognise and document the design flaws in some of the technologies we use.

↩️ "made up a whole suite of new formats and protocols while dissing on RSS/Atom and ActivityPub " was what you said, which implies activitypub predates micropub, microformats etc. The indieweb approach is composable formats that work together but can be adopted independently.

I just noticed there's 998 people in the Slack for #indieweb which makes me wonder when did we cross the 1000 mark (including IRC, Matrix etc.) and how do we compute where we are now?

Where does one see those stats? The only one I see on a quick glance is that there have be 1.11 million total messages on the slack (presumably across all the channels).

if you look to the channel topic in Slack then to the right by the heads, the channel member count should be there
