#[fluffy]I never feel like I have anything to add to IndieAuth itself, but I also haven’t kept up with the latest discussions. Is there a tl;dr about the last session I missed?
#GWGEssentially, a part of it was clarifying some confusing language about profile scopes. I didn't write about that but it's already updated in the spec.
#[fluffy]Yeah I saw that bit and added support to it in Authl 🙂
#LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "relevant to the IndieWeb wiki" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "relevant to the IndieWeb wiki is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#LoqiAnything directly related to people with their own websites, such as technologies and services used, design and UX, formats and protocols, as well as events or podcasts are relevant to the IndieWeb wiki. https://indieweb.org/relevant_to_the_IndieWeb_wiki
#@Cambridgeport90I wonder what it would be like using @Statiqdev for a personal web site with Indieweb functionality? (that is, Webmention support, likes and comments from various other places showing up near the post, and so on). I might fool around with it if nothing else. #[chrisaldrich]1aaronpk, perhaps I'm not understanding your message "Can you reupload this photo from the photo section to the header image section? https://events.indieweb.org/2021/09/gardens-and-streams-ii-pPUbyYME33V4" From what I can tell/remember the IWC logo was always in the header image section.
#[fluffy]Speaking of Indienews, wtf happened with the formatting on my post about Authl v0.5.2? The entry was formatted exactly like all my other release announcement entries, none of which got such wacky treatment.
#Loqi[publ.plaidweb.site] Authl v0.5.2 is now out.Changes:
Fixed some caching-related issues on IndieAuth profiles
The IndieAuth handler now supports PKCE
IndieAuth takes detection priority over Fediverse
Authl is now compatible with Flask 2.0
#[manton]Good post [fluffy]. Really wish Mastodon had gone with domain names for identity instead of email address-style. Domains work better to paste into a web browser and also naturally encourage content ownership.
#[fluffy]Yeah I am extremely not a fan of webfinger.
#[KevinMarks]Also, if you do get to their account page on mastodon you can follow it as an h-feed in your indieweb feed reader
#[fluffy]THat’s not The Mastodon Way though, and I assume it’s just an accident that it still works given how much the mastodevs seem to really hate indieweb stuff
#[fluffy]it’s only a matter of time before someone’s like “wait why do we have these useless classes that aren’t reflected in the CSS?” and “cleans” it all up
#[fluffy](also most news readers still don’t support h-feed, unfortunately)
#[KevinMarks]Ben very cleverly added integration tests that check they're still there so they'd have to deliberately break it.
#[KevinMarks]It also means that you can send webmentions from mastodon posts and have them show up on mentioned indieweb pages
#LoqiJust generated this week's newsletter! You still have a few minutes to make changes, and I'll re-generate it 10 minutes before it gets sent out at 3pm Pacific time. https://indieweb.org/this-week/2021-09-10.html
