It definitely looks for mentions of `indieweb` and probably `indie auth` 🙂

⬅ from #indieweb : I've been taking a look at /accessibility in an effort to do some Wiki gardening, but struggling to sort stuff into the existing headings. How would people feel about changing the emphasis away from specific subsections of disability towards sections on how to consider a11y within specific contexts
#
Murray[d]
For example, having headings like Interface Design, Writing, Video, Images, Animation etc. rather than Visual, Auditory, Motor Control?
#
Murray[d]
In that context, the subsection on contrast would fall into Interface Design, for example. My reasoning is that accessibility best practices are often concerned with multiple areas of disability. Take animations: they are visual by nature, but most accessibility best practices would be more concerned with specific cognitive disorders, neurodivergences, or learning disabilities.

Plus, I feel that it fits the pages use-case better: I want to know how to make accessible images, I can look under the Image heading. Maybe I'm overthinking it though 😅
#
Zegnat
I like that idea!
#
Murray[d]
Glad it's not just me 😄 I'll wait for a few more people to weigh in before I make any changes, but will make some local drafts of how it might work

+1 for organizing the accessibility page by considerations rather than by disability

Yeah sounds good to me
#
Murray[d]
👍 OK, cool, I'll find some time this afternoon/evening (UK) to restructure the page, and will then look to flesh out some of the sections in separate edits 🙂

👆 I've made the heading changes and condensed the info that was there into a "considerations" section: https://indieweb.org/accessibility#Considerations I'm sure the language could be improved if any has any ideas 🙂 In the meantime, I'll begin sorting the rest of the page into the new subheadings

Thanks all 😊 It's taking a bit longer than anticipated (mainly because I find navigating MediaWiki syntax near impossible... something which has struck me as more than a little ironic as I tried fleshing out the Writing section 😅)
#
Murray[d]
capjamesg[d] you've obviously done a good chunk of research into line length, so if there's anything I got wrong/missed from the scan read of the available resources (or anything you feel would be worth pulling out) then great
