Thanks @swentel for the #Drupal Module assist... I thought I was going to have to hunt the markdown module down separately. I guess it's a dependency on #Indieweb, then? Awesome.

↩️ A real shame for what it’s now become, I’ve stopped uploading a while ago and stopped paying when they doubled the price - I wasn’t getting any value out of it. I need to #indieweb my photos though

@peeke__ Regarding https://peeke.nl/implementing-webmentions, I barely know what I'm doing with this IndieWeb stuff. If my site sends webmentions and has a link to https://brid.gy/publish/twitter, why don't posts automatically publish to Twitter? What am I missing?

Pick n Mix certainly gets the idea of choosing the things you like, and is in keeping with the cook what you eat metaphor. Pick and Build adds the notion of doing something with your choices.

I'm in London, and mask wearing is very patchy, even on public transport where there are plentiful signs encouraging it. No bad vibes though in either direction, as far as I can see.

I think I did something weird somehow while installing the #Indieweb module. I'm going to be setting up activityPub, too, though I don't want to do anything until all errors are dealt with; get one on the basic site settings page, and one on the extend page... so far.

#
[tantek]
anyone around with strong opinions about IndieMark that is up for quick small edit reviews?
#
[tantek]
what is IndieMark
#
Loqi
IndieMark is an in-progress set of metrics for measuring the indieweb-ness of a site, and a step-by-step approach to incrementally building IndieWeb features for your site, and as such is currently written for folks who are comfortable with web development https://indieweb.org/IndieMark
#
[tantek]
^ that's at least improved from before, better setting expectations, removed the Generations wording
#
tracydurnell[d]

on that infographic, following their style / layout, instead of "sample apps" you might list existing IndieWeb tools / protocols (basically a "see more" for what articles to read)
#
tracydurnell[d]
I think we could make a less dystopian looking visualization too 😉
#
tracydurnell[d]
interesting that they are "leveling down" where we talk about leveling up
#
[tantek]
early 2010s dystopia looks so innocent now
#
[tantek]
but agreed tracydurnell[d]. it has a such dark industrial look to it

it's good to think about metaphors -- at work my coworker pointed out we call stuff "roadmaps" even in sustainability where we're trying not to prioritize cars

#
[tantek]
what is a roadmap
#
Loqi
Typical use of the term roadmap does not refer to actual roads, maps, or maps of roads - instead, keep a personal priority ordered list of what you're specifically Working On, and for unsorted or vague desires, add them to an unordered Itches list, on your User page or your project's page https://indieweb.org/roadmap
#
tracydurnell[d]
ha, I didn't expect the wiki to have roadmap!
#
[tantek]
don't make me define parking lot 😈
#
tracydurnell[d]
ok, you've inspired me, I'm going to pester my coworker to change the title of his roadmap to something better before Council officially adopts it 😉

For the syndication axis, I see level one has no requirement. What about some mention of manual syndication? Like "Manually syndicate at least one post to another site". Having links to syndicated content is nice UX, though probably doesn't need to be a requirement. I'm also thinking about micropub clients with optional syndication targets. That involves two axes but might be worth mentioning.

tantek yes i think interactivity is much better than web actions and i'll update to reflect.. how do you feel about the "Security" and "Handling Responses" sections, the former being an empty slice of the pie and the latter having been left off completely thus far
#
[tantek]
security still makes sense IMO
#
[tantek]
will have to think more about "handling responses", especially based on what people have implemented or not
