↩️ I've been thinking web3 is really (Web 1.0 Bubble) 2.0. Does that make Anil's proposal a sort of indieweb 2.0? https://indieweb.org/

6 years ago today: The first-of-its-kind @indiewebcamp #Nuremberg 2016. In 2 weeks from now: IWC Düsseldorf (the 1st for me in years), @btconf and another @a11yclub hybrid streaming event. Who's in? +@t @aaronpk @adactio @webrocker @egoexpress @fredericmarx @justb3a @webgefrickel

You only need version numbers when you want to break things and abandon existing users. That's not a good fit for the web.

re: the tweet about "Anil's proposal sort of IndieWeb 2.0?" - did i miss something about Anil's proposal? i feel like it was just ... have your own website on your own domain??

Is the discord gateway going to stay like this for the foreseeable future? If so I need to make some tweaks to Loqi

@pdcawley
My blog's taken one more step down the road to being fully IndieWeb buzzword compliant – you can now see webmentions for each article. There's always more to do though :) https://bofh.org.uk/2022/04/16/we-have-webmentions/

I can't believe folks are still looking to the HTML spec for blog markup advice, since literally none of it had any impact on any consuming code.
#
[tantek]
I feel like that's really the point that needs to be made here, that arguing semantics from the advice in the HTML spec is long out of date and flawed since no consuming code is following that

hey aaronpk, can I get some help with domain setup for https://2022.indieweb.org/ ? (maybe roughly clone the repo for https://2021.indieweb.org/ and adjust the dates for IWC DUS to April 30 - May 1?) right now that 2022.indieweb domain serves content from the Authorship Rocks sites which seems like a wildcard misconfiguration
#
aaronpk
haha whoops yeah maybe i should set up the next N years to just redirect to indieweb.org
#
aaronpk
nginx serves the first thing defined when there's no server name configured for the request
#
[tantek]
or redirect future years to https://indieweb.org/Planning which provides folks some options to "work on" things for future years
#
@TimAppleCodes
I’m looking for tech podcast suggestions, more unique stuff… based on indieweb, alt operating systems, or other interesting and less common things???
