[tantek] GWG, I think we need clear atomic labels of two sorts:

[tantek] 1 labels that indicate the current state of a proposal. While this information is also in the spec, we shouldn't make people hunt for it

[tantek] 2 labels that indicate all the conditions/work that is remaining on a proposal at each stage in order to advance it to the next stage. Like very specific labels, one per requirement per step in the process

GWG And how does the current proposal lack that. The Needs, then Advance to?

[tantek] The latter set (2) should be the labels preceded with “Needs …”

GWG So, Needs Advance to Stable?

GWG Is there a shorter way to say that?

[tantek] “Advance to” labels don't make sense IMO

[tantek] Because they are neither a state nor a requirement

GWG "Review For Stable"?

[tantek] No. Neither. Those fail the atomic requirement for a specific requirement in the process
#
[tantek] Nearly everything will always need “Review” of some sort. That's not helpful
#
[tantek] It needs to be a very specific label of WHAT aspect needs review
#
GWG Meets Criteria for Stable?

GWG Trying to think of something that is specific...that again, seems long for a label though

[tantek] A generic label like that is not helpful as the person looking has to figure out ok WHICH of the criteria are we waiting on

GWG Has Multiple Implementations, Has Implementation, Has Consumer?

GWG Then it effectively becomes a checklist

GWG So, you have Has, and Needs as your verbs here?
