The image proxy used on chat.indieweb.org may not work with wepb? URL is returning 500 error

this feels very IndieWeb ethos https://twitter.com/tmcw/status/1568966699436621825 — added it to plurality which felt the closest regarding embracing a broad variety of technical choices, yet it also feels like there's something else there as well for our old "show don't tell"
#
@tmcw
if you think some technology choice can make you way more productive, then just do it and show people the productivity, don't go on prattling about what other people should or shouldn't do.

aaronpk, any idea why never made "show before tell" a core IndieWeb /principle ? did we just forget originally or is it subsumed by one of the other principles?
#
[tantek]4
what do others here think of /show_before_tell ?
#
aaronpk
interesting
#
aaronpk
it's kind of part of "make what you need" and "use what you make"
#
aaronpk
kind of
#
[tantek]4
yes I see the overlap there, however the specific use-case of redirecting "talk energy" into "make energy"
#
[tantek]4
wow "proof of work" sure hasn't aged well has it
#
[tantek]4
I have a feeling some of the original intent behind the expression/concept of "proof of work" implied proof of *productive* or *useful* or at least some sort of *net positive* work and that was clearly lost at some point
#
[tantek]4
or maybe productive/useful was too hard to "measure"
#
aaronpk
not in the computer science sense at least
