gRegor All I can find is https://indieweb.org/photo#How_to_markup with the note after the markup "This also means, don't go marking up every random image in every random post with "u-photo", unless you really want every random post being mistaken for a photo post."

aaronpk this one might be an exception, but in general i wouldn't expect documentation on why not to use every microformats property. instead it's more like don't add markup at all unless you know why you're doing it
