pmlnr I was wondering: should we try to bridge discord with slack instead of IRC directly? I believe our slack instance is under our control, unlike the libera.chat matrix instance; if that latter was ours, we could bridge through that.

aaronpk good question. so far they've been for specific indiewebcamp events, and for the general shared infrastructure like our Zoom acct and Linode that runs the wiki and such. we haven't really talked about expanding that to new things yet

[tantek] feels a bit risky to gatekeep discord via Slack but if there's a fallback to not needing Slack then ok?

gRegor Did the Slack images bug get fixed? It was not passing through messages with images to IRC, at least for a while, so that could extend the issue to Discord.

pmlnr The issue is that the discord not is a relay not and thus the usernames are ugly
#
pmlnr It's not impossible that if aaronpk takes it over the issue with the non-relay setup starts working, given his server has some libera whitelists

pmlnr In theory mine does as well but that may not be the case in reality
