#[tantek]I'm going to have lunch with Marc Thiele today — is anyone else able to commit to helping co-organize an IWC Berlin in mid-September right before btconf Berlin? https://indieweb.org/Planning#Berlin
#bkilDoes operating a bot to live stream wiki edits and warn about weekly newsletter drafts lacking content other than basically ("click me to find out what changed") dozens of times a day not a contributor to FOMO?

#gRegorNot in my experience. I don't often need to read an individual wiki edit in the moment and they're always there later if I do need to dig back. Handy to see what the community is adding, though, and sometimes request a review here after.
#IWDiscordRelay<capjamesg#4492> [tantek] I’m happy to help with equipment setup / wiki requirements / remote participation setup.
#gRegorInteresting, never knew that was your motivation for it
#[schmarty]I do find the draft generation alerts distracting but I also remember a time before the reminders when folks would forget or scramble to finish up missing content or final edits.
#[schmarty]gRegor: my issue is often specifically with the list of most-edited pages, but the IndieNews entries are also just title+author and podcasts tend to be missing metadata about why the episode is relevant.
#[schmarty]I try to provide the missing summaries so people can have "the gist" of these updates without being _required_ to read or listen.
#LoqiJust generated this week's newsletter! You still have a few minutes to make changes, and I'll re-generate it 10 minutes before it gets sent out at 3pm Pacific time. https://indieweb.org/this-week/2023-05-26.html
