[tantek] The pace of edits are slow enough that I don't think we need to restrict edits from a community perspective. I'd rather treat this as an opportunity to help someone course correct assuming they may want to participate in the community in good faith, even if their first steps/contributions were not in the spirit of the community.

I'm taking a "best guess" at what we already try to practice here in the community (descriptive), rather than trying to change any existing policy/practices we have (prescriptive), though I'm open to that too
