sknebel wikipedia has a format and readers for offline-wikipedia unsurprisingly. but yeah, for us a pile of HTML files would also be a good choice

aaronpk oh i remember this problem from before, trying to download a mediawiki with spiderpig means you end up with a million files created from all the wiki history pages and diff links

aaronpk wait maybe not "Query strings are ignored completely"

aaronpk it might not take much work to customize spiderpig a little bit for mediawiki specifically

aaronpk just tried running it on the wiki and got "RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded"
