I think that may help especially new folks find the chat and notes from the events, since it's easy to miss the small "Notes" link at the bottom

aaronpk Ok so I have actually kind of unintentionally started that kind of thing

aaronpk since I have a few Meetable instances for different communities that have some overlap, I've wanted to be able to copy events across instances
#
aaronpk right now it works by having a proprietary json API that has an event-specific key that ends up as a URL that other instances can import from. I'd definitely be up for finding a way to do that in a more standardized way

GWG There's an opportunity. Calendar events are not the only thing we might want to sync between two instances.

aaronpk Not exactly, because there are a lot of properties that don't exist in h-event that need to be synced, also the details of locations and time are not well defined in the current vocabulary

aaronpk what triggers the import now is manual import. But i could easily imagine an auto import from a tag feed

aaronpk For example, another way to think of webmention is that one site imports the response from the other site

aaronpk so "an import that requires keeping in sync" is already expected in webmention responses

[tantek] with webmentions, you can throw away all the results and regenerate them because there is a clear original
#
[tantek] with importing, in any reasonable/common use of the term, when you setup the new thing from an import, it has no connection to the old thing. it's a fork.
