Well, speaking as someone for whom formatting and displaying information records for easy comprehension has been a primary occupation for over 30 years, I have characteristically strong opinions on this, but I'll save them for something important.

Anyway, In this case, I have been won over by the blog carnival sorting scheme:

Genius! Seriously. Whoever did that like the Picasso of information design. Senseless in its details—masterful in its overarching distillation of the beautiful chaos of life itself down to its simplest expression.
#
[Kupietz]
"did that IS like". C'mon, fingers. Dang it.

See, you're making the case for why we shouldn't copy/paste rows from "current" to "past" sections, easy to mess up, especially wiki table syntax :)

Well, this is one of those unfortunate situations where separation of data layer from presentation layer would help. Tabular data and textual content are fundamentally different in some ways. Not that there's a solution that would be practical in this case; just a passing observation.

took me a minute but realized we *did* have those videos on IA already, they were only linked from the grid though.

now that's some longstanding wiki-debt resolved
#
aaronpk
wow 2014
#
gRegor
Haha, well somewhat. Most of the sessions have no notes
#
gRegor
So if anyone wants to watch videos and add some notes...
#
aaronpk
can we have AI do it? heh
#
[tantek]
oh hah transcripts after the fact? could be interesting
#
gRegor
I think it was [social] who copy/pasted one of the YouTube transcripts on the notes page
#
gRegor
It's a start. I'm not super concerned about it since it's 12 years old and at least we have the video

I did post a transcript. YouTube now has auto-generated transcripts that are fairly good. The transcripts need clean-up to get them in proper sentence and paragraph structures to make it easier to read. Not changing words, just structure. I run it through a local LLM for this clean-up.
