tantek the sitemap-formats link is red (page missing), but right above it, you mention "Existing standards" and link to sitemaps.org - that's exactly what the sitemap-formats page is for! please move that information there.

tantek normally that kind of information is user-visible on a page, and then we use microformats to put markup around it

tantek but given that they are specific values from the sitemap XML format - I'm not sure I have a good counter-proposal
