#tommorristantek: HTML, vCard and iCalendar are now all gov.uk approved standards. :)
#tantektommorris: excellent! doesn't take much to go from HTML, vCard, iCalendar to h-card and h-event :)

#tommorristhe W3C giving HTML5 Recommendation status means that is now an actual standard as far as they are concerned.
#tommorrisoh, not just HTML. The government also previously approved URLs accessible over HTTP 1.1 as a standard for "Persistent resolvable identifiers".
#tommorrisAnd UTF-8 as a standard for "cross platform character encoding".
#tantektommorris: did you see my blog post about URL was previously called UDI?
#tantekalso, I wonder what they would need to endorse h-card and h-event explicitly for embedding vCard and iCalendar information directly inline *in* HTML.
#tantekI mean we can produce a "stable" spec for each at a "dated" URL if they need that. We already have the open licensing and openly developed parts.

#tantektommorris: we should probably figure out a good explicit shutdown path for the mailing lists. If you have suggestions, please add that to the to-do.
#eluxdoes google care about microformats2 ...? i noticed in their webmaster tools they are looking for schema.org stuff..?

#tantekgood day #microformats - based on the nearly unanimous adoption of u-in-reply-to and u-syndication in the indiewebcamp community (publishing sites, consuming sites), I've upgraded them both to core
