Are there docs for either the discussion leading up to h-adr or the intended semantics for p-label? I don't see h-adr in searches within http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.microformats.devel or http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.microformats.new
#
wking
Ah, looks like the original h-adr page (http://microformats.org/wiki/index.php?title=h-adr&oldid=54471) references vCard4 (RFC6350)
#
tantek
wking - right http://microformats.org/wiki/h-adr references vCard
#
tantek
p-label is taken from vCard's LABEL property
#
tantek
though in practice we haven't seen much (if any) use of p-label

I have folks wanting a name attached to mailing addresses (e.g. "I'm shipping this order to a friend, and here's their name and address"). Looks like p-label isn't quite the right fit for that.
#
wking
maybe I just need an address-wrapping format for third parties
#
wking
also, it would be nice to make the vCard4 / RFC6350 more prominent. It's currently just mentioned in the explanation for p-altitude.
#
tantek
wking - for name + address - better to use h-card : http://microformats.org/wiki/h-card
#
tantek
I'll add that to the h-adr
#
wking
yeah, thanks
