@PowerofReviews @coreyhaines glad to see micro data get more adoption but sad that microformats didn't take off better back in the day

意外と深いな、、、問題はなさそうですが気になるので修正すすめています。schema系って、ランクにまだそれほど影響していない?実際、どうでしょう?? http://nelog.jp/hentry-microformats-org

i just found i am really missing a time metainfo. especialy for some event like today - argentina-columbia. one of the pages write - it will start at 2:20, but how i can now the timezone? is it server timezone or they found out my timezone? if they could give some metainfo about this. and of course script lovers could start doing some cray stuff with converting and showing it in differen timezones. add date/time format specifier and it is possible
#
hipopo
to parse it and do more crazy stuff.
#

can you use a <time> tag?
#
hipopo

is 'datetime' atribute must be in utc timezone?
#
hipopo
ok, answering to myself - yes - timezone can be specified. but this is optional
#
tantek
correct
#
KevinMarks_
yes. you can use Z to mean UTC
#
tantek
and you can either use ISO8601 datetime format inline
#
tantek
e.g. <time>2015-06-26 16:13-0700</time>
#
tantek
or you can put it in the datetime attribute
#
KevinMarks_
but we recommend literal time offsets omitting colons
#
tantek
<time datetime="2015-06-26 16:13-0700">2015-06-26 16:13 PDT</time>
#
hipopo
yes, specifying in datetime attr is better. ok, thanks a lot. i will need to think if where can be an issue with not specifying timezone but only "shift". e.g. for historical or summer/winter switch and etc. but at first seems this more than enought.

tantek
hipopo - great and good luck!
