Zegnat: regarding https://github.com/indieweb/microformats-ruby/issues/74 are you cool with me using the html from that live example as a test in the suite?
#
Loqi
[Zegnat] #74 Parse href and title attributes on <link> elements for u- and p- properties respectively.
#
ben_thatmustbeme
as well as the example you put in the ticket
#
Zegnat
I guess? Maybe drop my test results from the HTML, as they don’t have mf2 anyway that should not make a difference.
#
ben_thatmustbeme
its up to you, i don't need it now that i look at it
#
ben_thatmustbeme
i think your example will be fine
#
ben_thatmustbeme
s/will be/is/
#
ben_thatmustbeme
i have the fix for it ready now
#
ben_thatmustbeme
now the age old question, does this warrent a 4.1.0 or just 4.0.8
#
ben_thatmustbeme
i guess its a new feature, parsing links for these properties, so 4.1.0 sounds good
#
Zegnat
Sounds right. I don’t think it breaks BC (unless you count any change in parsed output as a BC break) so it isn’t a major version bump. But it also isn’t a bugfix as the spec had to be updated for it so it isn’t a patch version bump.
#
Zegnat
If you follow semver, that is.
#
ben_thatmustbeme
now i just need someone else to approve the merge

For IndieWeb stats it is too bad they do not lets e.g. h-entry.
#
ben_thatmustbeme
i thought common crawl had that, it may be that they just didn't find the sites, or maybe they group hentry and h-entry in together

Could be, just not on that page, ben_thatmustbeme. E.g. they list hlisting (which I think has not even made it to mf2 yet?), but no hentry/h-entry
#
ben_thatmustbeme
oh wait, it has html-mf2-h-adr in one spot

oh they finally have permalinks for the different years
#
tantek
and yes they added mf2 support last year - so I'm not sure why they wouldn't have shown *all* mf2
#
tantek
odd that they don't show a "microformats" total for all the mf- and mf2- stats, while they do show a "Microdata" total
#
tantek
ah the pie charts sort of show it
#
tantek
and yes they should have a ton of html-mf-hentry but I'm not seeing it - nearly every wordpress blog for the past 10 years has it in their templates / themes
#
tantek
I'm willing to bet with hentry that total microformats would easily be more than total microdata, perhaps more than all others combined

ben_thatmustbeme: didn't find any hcard on clothdiaper home page or first permalink, but I did find hfeed at the root and hentry at the first post permalink

@mor10
It is so weird to see old blog layouts on the web these days. http://microformats.org/
