woohoo, "117 of 117 passed" (https://willnorris.com/tmp/mf2tests/). Not that that means a whole lot in and of itself. The go parser hasn't seen near the real-world usage others have, and I haven't yet implemented some of the newer proposals like better whitespace and textContent handling. That'll come next.

↩️ Would love more feedback if you are looking into that! One thing that came up in response (and was captured on http://microformats.org/wiki/h-card-brainstorming#Pronouns) is that a name-url-pair might be better than just a url.

thanks gRegorLove for merging https://github.com/microformats/tests/pull/106. That was actually the last holdout :)

Re: https://github.com/microformats/h-entry/issues/13 I'm not sure it's suboptimal, though I am curious about the reasoning for adding the vcard root in backcompat.

[sknebel] #13 author backcompat: always vcard?
#
gRegorLove
Similar things happen with other backcompat, so I'm sure there's some reasoning.
#
sknebel
yeah, I wondered about that too
#
sknebel
seems quite a lot there's a type mentioned that'd automatically be resolved by backcompat
#
sknebel
which might just have been to inform the reader instead of being a strict instruction
#
gRegorLove
I don't see anything in particular about it on http://microformats.org/wiki/hatom-brainstorming
#
gRegorLove
I guess it gives a more predictable result. Whether they published `author vcard` or just `author`, you get an `h-card` object.

in which you can check the name and then fall back to the "value" property
#
sknebel
to me that feels like the edgier case, but I might be wrong on that
#
gRegorLove
True, without some helper function that is more work

↩️ YOu can also use Microsoft Word to write posts on WordPress sites, although you'll want to mind the markup and obviously no microformats 2 there.
