aaronpk fixing the captcha means updating the plugin which requires a new version of mediawiki which requires a new version of php etc etc etc

[tantek] yeah there's different categories of levels of maintenance "needed", and MediaWiki is definitely in the GroupWare™ category of stuff that needs continuous maintenance, not for individuals unless you're a devops hobbyist

[tantek] whereas I'd argue a goal for "typical" indieweb software should be minimal self-maintenance, stuff that "just works" for years without touching it
