#[snarfed]hi all. i'm trying to edit the wiki, and my edit includes links, so it's giving me a captcha - "Your edit includes new external links. To help protect against automated spam, please type the two words you see in the box below:" - but the two words and box don't appear, so i can't save my edit. help?

#[jgmac1106]mediawiki maintenance is so hard...often wonder if I should just start recommending people use dokuwiki or something...feel like I am setting them up for unsustainable admintax
#[tantek]yeah there's different categories of levels of maintenance "needed", and MediaWiki is definitely in the GroupWare™ category of stuff that needs continuous maintenance, not for individuals unless you're a devops hobbyist
#[tantek]whereas I'd argue a goal for "typical" indieweb software should be minimal self-maintenance, stuff that "just works" for years without touching it
#[tantek]brittle is not quite right. more like reduced functionality
#[jgmac1106]yeah I think I will recommend dokuwiki for small nonteam projects not associated with a compsci program....never met a devops hobbyist...
