I think I’d prefer something that’s descriptive of a concept rather than specific companies. Like, one reason Netflix never really fit in for me is that it’s not like Netflix was providing monopolistic hosting for the lockin of others.
#
[fluffy]
oh but this is still not really microformats talk
#
[tantek]
yeah we can take it to chat perhaps

So today.. in coding wins, Got a better rendering of tweets in my #indieweb replies and better parsing of reddit posts. Geeze, every website needs to have its own parsing logic gasps. All I want is proper #microformats everywhere https://jj.isgeek.net/2020/06/22-063526/

[Tantek Çelik] h-entry is a simple, open format for episodic or datestamped content on the web. h-entry is often used with content intended to be syndicated, e.g. blog posts. h-entry is one of several open microformat standards suitable for embedding data in HTML. ...

@EmmanuelDemey
Je suis en train de travailler sur du scraping de site pour un client. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi les sites n'ont pas encore accepter les microformats ou le code sémantique. :(.

[tantek], hAtom backcompat: is the `date` class name needed in `<time class="date dt-published published">` ? Otherwise lgtm
#
[tantek]

I think .site-title and .site-description on the h-feed backcompat might be copypasta too
#
[tantek]
they've been candidates in the parser backcompat section so I kept them: http://microformats.org/wiki/h-feed#Parser_Compatibility
#
gRegorLove
aha, just found that
#
gRegorLove
looks good then
#
[tantek]
I'm not fan of them myself, however they do seem to be emergent, and if this helps more people add mf2 to their WordPress without breaking their mf1, then so much the better
