Zegnat Re: “Swedish has doubly gendered aunt/uncle words”. Yes. Same for grandparents. And I find it super annoying having learned Swedish as a non-native. Also, there were way more people in my family I grew up calling aunt/uncle than just direct siblings to my parents. And now I do not have words for them anymore.

Zegnat I feel like trying to get all those words in a standard opens it up for the same problem as pronouns being listed with all there different reflections. Turns out it does not map well between languages. XFN’s generic kin is probably way better that way.
