I note that (nearly?) all of the properties of h-adr are also in h-card. What, then is the purpose of h-adr? If I had to guess, I'd think h-adr was created so that an h-card can have more than one h-adr, e.g., a work address and a home address.

And if I have only one address, is there any practical disadvantage to ignoring h-adr and putting one's address in properties directly inside an h-card?

by default flatter is better

Followup question: is there any disadvantage to using h-card with no name instead of h-adr?
#
[tantek]
more like, without a name, there's no point in using h-card

Right. I'm writing a demo/tutorial about microformats in front matter, and trying to keep it as simple as possible. So I was going to avoid trying to explaining why one example uses h-adr but the other uses h-card. But I'll keep them separate so as to avoid showing less than ideal code.
