fab57 Hi! Just two short questions: Can I have more than one "p-summary" tag below h-entry/e-content and are they all put together? And the other one: Can I use p-category tags in a p-summary tag?

[tantek] you can have more than one but what to do with them is not defined. most likely implementations will pick the first one to display. or if there are multiples in different languages perhaps a future implementation may choose the language the user most prefers

fab57 All I want is to use #hashtags in my p-summary for mastodon posts. Maybe I can simply enter them as plaintext without p-category?

ulhar4409 you could, but i might argue that the point of p-category is for fetching those categories without having to otherwise parse the "text" parts

[tantek] I found the markup of hashtags inside the context of a post to be a little more involved, to get them to both display well (clickable) and show up properly when federated. Could chat more about those details in #indieweb-dev

[tantek] it is, it just took some experimenting to get it to federate properly because of the quirks of how Mastodon reads hashtags from HTML

fab57 [tantek]: I think I'll go by linking them with an <a> tag and use my home pleroma instance for linking to tags: <a class="p-category" href="https://pleroma.envs.net/tag/webmention">#webmention</a> for a first start.

fab57 Thanks for your help. If I find out more I'll report. But I'm working on my webmention and microformat implementation for only 3 days now :). So I'm a little inexperienced.
