Thanks for the nudge, sorry I haven't had much capacity. I've just set up https://github.com/microformats/php-mf2/issues/277 with a couple small readme and changelog updates if you'd like to send a PR for those. The 0.5.1 milestone issues could use a review too. Most of those were probably assigned that release a while ago. I think I'm fine if we push most of them to the next release, but if any are "easy" maybe we can get them in

I'm checking the results of #185 currently, can probably be closed if my last comment there is correct.

gRegor,: I am on the changelog
#
jtojnar
looks like readme also mentions tests/test-suite using the language-agnostic test suite mentioned in #185 but that seems to have been removed in https://github.com/microformats/php-mf2/commit/2d026e5469153a01e2116d3162a91a65d295d247

Thanks! Can you leave a note in 277 about the readme?
#
gRegor
`microformats/tests` is still used

though I only bothered porting the latest release to the KaC format

jtojnar++ thanks! merged a few and added some comments on others. Will review again later tonight and probably bump most of those 0.5.1 milestones unless anyone objects.

Oh and I was probably imprecise in the bumping comments, doh. I'm thinking 0.6.0 will just be the PHP74 minimum, nullable types, and any similar deprecations we can fix easily. Features and bugs can be 0.6.1

gRegor I would postpone all of those in the milestone to 0.6.1. They waited for years, they can wait some more.
#
gRegor
sounds good, that's what I was thinking too
#
gRegor
Running the tests on main, those got disabled automatically by github since weren't used for a while
#
gRegor
8.0 and 8.1 failed, looks like just network errors fetching Barnaby's site though: https://github.com/microformats/php-mf2/actions/runs/28198773553
#
jtojnar
can it be rerun?
#
jtojnar
in the future, it might make sense to only fetch stuff from localhost for testing purposes
#
jtojnar
gRegor also fixing the warning from the test failure: https://github.com/microformats/php-mf2/pull/280

Agreed. Do you have experience with setting up localhost files as part of github actions? I'm not super familiar
#
gRegor
280 failed for the same reason, will re-run

success!

gRegor I have good experience with this library (though it requires PHP 7.2): https://github.com/microformats/php-mf2/pull/281

it basically runs `php -S` internally. Previously, I did that manually https://github.com/simplepie/simplepie/pull/819 but then we discovered this library and it was doing essentially the same thing only generic and the codebase is quite nice.

jtojnar: I was not aware of this library. It looks fantastic. I'll have to make note of it and see if I can use it in the test suite for my newsreading server.
