I set up GPG signing for a work project, but I couldn't get it working inside VSCode, do have to commit from the command line to use it. I suppose I should yak shave the GPG tools and keychain stuff again.

[KevinMarks]: what are you trying to sign from within VSCode?

I have to do `commit -s -m` from the command line at the moment and type a passphrase

Huh. Odd. If your git config is setup to always sign, that should be done by everything that reads your config (which should include vscode). I have had some minor success after switching from gpg to ssh, just because it was less of a headache
