i still didn't finish my website to deploy new version :(
#
Loqi
*sniff*
#
elf-pavlik
but already broke stuff into separate Container(s) / Collections(s) now each block from https://wwelves.org/perpetual-tripper/ will act as independent resource on the web
#

elf-pavlik: cool
#
elf-pavlik
for now i will use $curl as my client but use same API later in HTML5 apps, i hope coordinating with https://github.com/linkeddata/SoLiD#applications
#
elf-pavlik
also finally someone started Hydra javascript libraries! https://github.com/bergos/hydra-core & https://github.com/bergos/hydra-middleware
#

elf-pavlik: the release I was talking about was for mediagoblin http://mediagoblin.org/news/mediagoblin-0.8.0-gallery-of-fine-creatures.html but I'll be returning to my activitystreams experimental library shortly
#
cwebber2
and maybe will have something fun for people to play around in soon I hope :)
#
elf-pavlik
great! i get back to work with a friend on map + calendar which would do 'blog planet' like aggregation, with data for example from http://nodeschool.io/events.html
#
cwebber2
oh cool
#
cwebber2
yeah planet style aggregation is good
#
elf-pavlik
especially if one can also view it in prefered client app (AFAIK refered as 'reader' on#indiewebcamp )
#
elf-pavlik
with another friend we did some work on aggregating personal profiles - 'card'(s) - and providing browser ~reader for it http://directory.open-steps.org/
#
elf-pavlik
actually decoupled backend (directory) and frontend (browser), people can edit profiles also with decoupled frontend (editor) and publish them to backend (provider)
#
elf-pavlik
all componens can almost work in with each other in n-n relation, giving full freedom to each peer to self-host or use shared hosting
#
elf-pavlik
auth comes tricky of course... for now i used mozilla persona and got stuck on https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Persona/Security_Considerations#Explicitly_specify_the_audience_parameter
#
elf-pavlik
i hope friend who develops https://indiecert.net can sit down with me and help me with implementing indieauth along mozilla persona, later also WebID-TLS :)
#
elf-pavlik
enough rambling, time to work

elf-pavlik: I cant help but feel you're over complicating the task, what could have been done with standard patterns in hours or days, seems to have taken you months and years, and still not interoperable, maybe it's time to take inspiration from the patterns in the spec after all, they really are quite good :)
#
melvster
it seems unlikely that anyone else will go to this trouble either
#
melvster
id recommend just giving yourself a single identity hosted in your home page, no clever redirects or anything needed, then you can merge your indie cert together with webid TLS and both communities gain
#
melvster
and that way you can have both an indieweb profile and a webid profile in one place, like i do ...
#
melvster
and able to use the features of both communities
