cwebber2 Gargron: one thing nolan and I talked about at TPAC was (and admittedly this would require that clients work to make this have reasonable UX) you actually sign your Actor object with a key you have on your device that your server *never* has, but that signature then gets attached to your profile's URI (and the profile can also sign that yes, I really am associated with this key, making it bidirectional)
