saranix fwiw, hubzilla used pseudo-bbcode for this e.g. [customobj][meaningful=something][/customobj] but then people complained and it got moved to proper json metadata attached to the post, but then that still requires all involved servers to have the same plugin enabled to be able to understand that data... which is kind of what we are trying to avoid here
