jaywink[m] I never implemnented OStatus, I could never actually find good documentation, but afaik it had huge holes which is why for example mastodon needed AP to move forward. There is Diaspora of course as well, but that has only been cleaned up in recent years and still is limited in the vocabulary it allows and does not even speak of extensions.
