#ClipseyThe ActivityPub standard is not very friendly for strongly typed languages lol

#fr33domloverI'm implementing AP+extension in a strongly typed language
#fr33domloverI haven't tried in any other language, but, I think I'm doing fine ^_^
#fr33domloverThe data handling side is basically just JSON and RDF, quite standard things

#cjslep[m]Clipsey I agree but everything I am building is in the strongly typed language Golang. Of the people I know, it's honestly probably split 50/50 static/dynamic typed language users.

#nightpool[m]doesn't golang not even have type variables? i think its pretty weird to consider it representative of strongly typed languages as a whole haha

#cjslep[m]You're right it doesn't have generics, so types cannot be variadic. But Golang is strongly typed. But written in a form similar to a dynamically typed language.
#nightpool[m]sure, I'm just saying as strongly-typed languages go, it's a weird duck, and one of the least expressive
#cjslep[m]I'll take that as a compliment in getting AP to work in it then :P
#nightpool[m]but it's also unsurprising to me that there'd be limitations when dealing with an RDF format specifically designed to be open and extensible
