melody cwebber2: i've been reading the threads you linked & while i'm not sure i can see the vulnerability described, it occurs to me to ask a separate question -- how critical is the ability to publish edge names for a petnames system to work? like in your example (publishing Alice Smith vs. Little Brat) -- one is de-anonymizing and the other is potentially abusive, it's not hard to imagine attacks based on publishing abusive edge names or doxxing via them
