# csarven re https://www.w3.org/TR/activitystreams-vocabulary/#dfn-update , has anyone implemented or defined a mechanism for describing the actual set of modifications made to an as:Update's object (possibly including as:content)? More specifically, how do you express partial updates (like along the lines of using HTTP PATCH)?
# rhiaro csarven: see https://www.w3.org/TR/activitypub/#update-activity-outbox there's a section on partial updates

# fr33domlover csarven, I've been wondering too, how to determine what changed in a federated full Update, which is indeed like PUT. I haven't gotten yet to the parts that require me to decide this, but so far, I've been using more specific activities for specific changes, and also putting some nested objects in their own document so that they get dedicated Update activities. Treating Update as "user updated object"
# fr33domlover without assuming more specific semantics. Idk yet, how long this will keep working for me ^_^
# fr33domlover Interesting/weird idea: To have activities manipulating RDF statements, and then clients/servers deduce from that how to change the JSON-LD documents and how to communicate the change to the user
