fr33domlover[m] jaywink & everyone else : I'm about to implement federated patches and Merge Requests and would love to hear some feedback on the representation! It's not necessarily final, I just want to hear people's insights https://talk.feneas.org/t/sending-and-updating-a-patch-mr/300

jaywink[m] fr33domlover: as much as I would like to, as per a recent blog post, I'm reorganizing my life a bit with less priority on the federated web side of things, so I probably wont be much use to forgefed except sharing news :/ sorry

#
fr33domlover[m] jaywink: blog post where? I hope your life reorganization goes well, and don't worry, we'll figure out the federation stuff here eventually ^_^ thank you for all the feedback you've given! It's been really precious
#
fr33domlover[m] jaywink: thanks! Sounds awesome. XR is definitely way more urgent than federated web stuff! Hi from the israeli chapter :P

#
fr33domlover[m] o/ anyone knows how to handle the CORS stuff for the client-side app of federated servers?
#
fr33domlover[m] If my app has a JS client, it can't interact with websites other than the one it was loaded from
#
fr33domlover[m] Idk much about CORS so wondering what's the secure way to handle this
#
fr33domlover[m] Wouldn't want to enable some dangerous setting etc.
#
BradKoehn[m] It's unfortunate, but most implementations aren't sufficiently open for CORS GET requests for ActivityPub objects, even public ones. There's no good reason for this. I ended up proxying requests from my server.
#
fr33domlover[m] Thanks Brad Koehn
