Hello !
#
Cult
I have a question regarding ostatus and rfc7033
#
Cult
I can't find anywhere in the rfc anything related to the 'template' entry in the link
#
nightpool[m]
Cult: I think it may be defined here: https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6415 ?

nightpool[m]: it seems to be the rfc for /host-meta not /webfinger but it is true that it can be defined also here as it is related to the host
#

mastodon returns also data about link ostatus in the webfinger
#
nightpool[m]
hm maybe I'm misunderstanding then. I thought the template entry was only in the host-meta document?
#
nightpool[m]
Mastodon hasn't used ostatus since 2018
#
Cult
well, I am quite sure they still use it when following a remote account from a click on the 'follow' button on the webpage of a remote instance
#
Cult
maybe I am wrong, but the template is used at that point

When I implemented that I simply looked at what mastodon does

The really-not-good part is that when you're interacting with a post, it doesn't ever really pass you the particular kind of interaction — like, reply, retoot, etc
